
The group was a part of the Boston club circuit, and were led by Frank Connelly their first manager. The band then began working together with Steve Leber, David Krebs, New York managers. In 1972 they signed a recording agreement and debuted their first album. The album was then followed by Get Your Wings and Toys in the Attic and Rocks. The album brought Aerosmith worldwide fame and recognition. These albums are the origin of iconic hits like "Dream on", Walk This Way, as well as "Sweet Emotion". Aerosmith's first five albums were multi-platinum. Toys in the Attic and Rocks were also multi-platinum. Aerosmith began to feel the consequences of their fast-paced life of touring, recording as well as living together, and also using substances as the decade advanced. Due to their use of heroin and stimulants, Tyler and Perry were often referred to as the Toxic Twins.
