Colson Kelly, also known as Machine Gun Kelly is best recognized for his unique style he uses to rap. Baker was originally born in Houston, Texas U.S. on the 22nd of April 1990 to parents who were of English Scottish German descent. His parents are missionaries. As a child the Bakers traveled extensively together. James Colson Baker, his father, struggled with depression and unemployment. The mother of his son Sonia Alane had left him as he was nine. Baker along with his father moved to Denver and lived in the home of his father's Aunt. Other kids in the area bullied Baker due to his indigence. When he was in sixth grade, he started listening to hip-hop. Colson Kelly (also known as Machine Gun Kelly) was born April 22 1991 in Texas. He has a reputation for blending hip-hop styles that are contemporary and alternative to rock in his music compositions. Baker was the author of four mixtapes between 2007 and 2010, before signing to Bad Boy Records. The Cleveland rapper, who wrote lyrics at the pace of a speeding bullet experienced an explosive rise when, at the end of 2011, Baker switched from self-released mixtapes to established labels. His career took off after that, with each of his albums reaching the top ten charts.
